Case study
Oma
The mobile app for in-home daycares and babysitters — families, classrooms, messages, payments, and the day, all in one place.
Visit live siteThe challenge
In-home daycare owners and babysitters were coordinating enrollment, daily updates, pickups, and payments across texts, group chats, and paper — leaving parents out of the loop and owners buried in admin.
The solution
We built a mobile-first app with owner and parent experiences: classrooms and capacity, messaging and daily posts, check-in with authorized pickups, payments and documents, plus live cameras on higher tiers.
Overview
What we built
Oma is a childcare management app for daycare owners and nannies. It centralizes families, classrooms, messaging, check-in, payments, and daily updates so care providers and parents stay aligned without juggling texts and spreadsheets. Premium tiers add live classroom cameras for in-home daycares.
For Parents
- Message caregivers and follow meals, naps, and activity updates
- Stay informed on check-in, authorized pickups, and incident reports
- Access handbooks, licenses, and payment links in one place
For Owners & Staff
- Organize kids, families, rooms, and who's here today
- Post daily updates and keep parents in the loop without extra apps
- Collect tuition and share payment links or card billing
- Watch rooms live from the Cameras tab (Premium)
Technical highlights
- Mobile app for daycare owners, staff, and parents
- Role-based dashboards for classrooms, messaging, and check-in
- Live classroom camera integration on Premium plans
- Payments and document sharing built into the care workflow
Impact
Oma gives in-home daycares and babysitters a single hub for communication and operations — so owners run the day, parents stay informed, and premium providers can keep an eye on rooms in real time.
